HUFREESH DUMASIA
An Intuitive Abstract artist, Hufreesh, has been painting ever since she was old enough to hold a brush. To become an artist wasn't a conscious choice but a natural expression of her being. Growing up in Sri Aurobindo International Centre of Education in South of India and living in Auroville inspired her to seek within for her artistic inspiration.
Life changed course for Hufreesh at the age of 12 when she lost her father, a profound bond shattered by his passing. This event stirred deep existential questions about life, death, and the unseen forces behind existence. Seeking meaning, she explored diverse philosophies, spiritual practices, and meditation, hoping to connect with the hidden world and perhaps with some echo of her father. Yet, it was in her art that the veil lifted—revealing a realm beyond the visible, where everything, from trees to rivers, carries a hidden spirit.
Art became her spiritual dialogue, a way to connect with her innermost self and the unseen forces guiding her. Through intuitive creation, she found clarity in chaos and beauty in the unpredictable nature of life. Her work reflects this quest—an ongoing journey of self-discovery, where the unknown becomes a source of wisdom and wonder.
Hufreesh's work is rooted in acrylics but extends into mixed media, embodying a dynamic and evolving style. Rather than adhering to one technique or medium, her art reflects her constant pursuit of new forms of expression. Whether through paint, fabric, clay, or other materials, Hufreesh’s art mirrors her inner journey. She believes that as she grows through life’s experiences, her art transforms as well. For her, change is not only a theme but a guiding force—each piece an evolving expression of her soul’s ongoing exploration. The journey inward continues through her ever-evolving creations.
