What inspires your artwork?

 

Whatever is present that day — a feeling, a memory, sometimes nothing I can name until it's already on the canvas. I don't chase inspiration. I just stay close enough to notice when something shows up.

How do you create your paintings?

 

I don't plan a piece before I start it.

I keep working, layer by layer, until something arrives that wasn't there when I began — a shape, a light, a shift in color that feels like it found its own way through.

What styles do you use?

Mostly abstract. Sometimes a form surfaces on its own — a fish, a face, a garden — and I let it stay if it wants to.
